The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced on November 9 that Psy’s “Gangnam Style” has recorded over 2 million digital single sales.
The song was released over three months ago, and its popularity remains high. The music video for the song on YouTube made it into the Guinness Records by receiving the biggest amount of hits. The video has recorded over 685 million views so far.
Psy will become the first Korean artist to perform at the annual MTV Europe Music Awards on November 11 as a nominee in the Best Video Category. He will also perform “Gangnam Style” at the MTV American Music Awards, which will be held in Los Angeles on November 18.
He will appear on the November 22 episode of NBC’s popular talk show The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Since it will be Thanksgiving Day, when the show receives the highest audience rating, many people will be paying attention to Psy.
Psy will keep busy until the end of this year in the United States and Europe.
