SMAP's Takuya Kimura previous two drama series did not receive the best ratings. His title as one of the leading actors in Japan seems to be slipping away. The last "Getsu 9" drama that Kimura starred in was "Tsuki no Koibito" in 2010. Fuji TV's new "Getsu 9" drama PRICELESS will have Kimura play as a salary man who loses everything after being fired from a company. From there he lives a life of poverty and discovers many 'priceless' and important things in life that can not be bought with money. The female lead will be played by Karina who will be a colleague of Kiichi Nakai who will play as a Kimura's boss.
PRICELESS will start airing in October. It was said that Kimura's role will be funny and cheerful which will be a challenge for him. His role won't be like any of the characters he previously played which had a smart and refreshing look. Kimura said that if he were asked what priceless meant, then he would have said the emotions the Japanese people felt when the Japanese athletes won 38 medals in London 2012 Olympics.
