MBC drama ‘Arang and the Magistrate’ has already broken the record set by ‘The Moon Embracing the Sun’ earlier this year.
On August 28th, MBC announced that drama ‘Arang and the Magistrate’ will be imported to Japan for the highest price that any other dramas have ever got. Although the sum is undisclosed as yet, the announcement was made following a meeting attended by MBC’s board members a day prior.
‘Arang and the Magistrate’ is based on the Korean folktale of “Arang” and revolves around a mischievous young ghost named Arang (played by Shin Min Ah) who is suffering from amnesia and a young magistrate named Eun Oh (played by Lee Jun Ki) who helps Arang find out how she died.
